Poor customer service at it service centers
Regarding the poor service and damage caused to my laptop by the Abans.it service center (No: 450 Duplication Rd, Colombo 00300) on 23/02/2022. The staff in the Abans.it service center are not attentive to the customers whereas I had to wait for 1 hour for an agent to arrive just for a hard disk upgrade. After almost 1 hour they stated that they are unable to upgrade the hard disk and directed me to go to Game Street while my product is still under warranty. But once I contacted game street they stated that the agreement between Abans and Game Street is only for warranty or repair purposes and not for upgrades such as SSD,RAM,Hard Disk. They stated that these types of upgrades need to be done by Abans itself but when I gave my phone to an Abans Employee stating the statement given to me by Game Street they informed me saying that Game Street would upgrade my hard disk as a help and it is not their responsibility to do such a task. But when I complained to the Abans.it employee stating why they didn’t inform me when I called them before I arrive They stated that they didn’t know that there was a seal on the top. Further I got my hard disk upgraded from Game Street as an Abans.it employee instructed me to do. Later after the upgrade I discovered a damage in my laptop which is not visible at a glance. It is certain that Abans.it had done the damage to my laptop as it was not visible what the technician did to my laptop while it was taken inside because at Game Street they had total transparency of what they were doing.
