The Japanese government has issued a press to openly shame people disobeying coronavirus border rules, announcing the names of three people who disregarded quarantine rules after recently returning from a foreign country.
The health ministry disclosed that the three Japanese citizens called out had intentionally planned to dodge the supervision of authorities after returning from overseas.
The press, a rare kind, intrigued Twitter users as they wondered the details such as locations and jobs of those recognized.
Japan is requesting all voyagers from abroad, including Japanese nationals, to self-isolate for two weeks, during which they are advised to use a GPS-enabled smartphone app and give updates about their medical condition.
