According to releases from the Enforcement Directorate and coverage by national and regional media, properties valued at more than forty lakh rupees were provisionally attached as part of a money-laundering probe. The case is linked to alleged financial irregularities during the 2018–2019 festival seasons, a period marked by exceptionally high pilgrim turnout and substantial handling of offerings and ritual materials. Reports indicate that vigilance authorities arrested a priest in connection with a ghee embezzlement case, while the ED expanded its investigation to examine suspected diversion of funds and assets believed to be linked to proceeds of crime.
