DO NOT BUY FROM FLY BABIES AVIARY

Below is a time line that shows inadequate communication that transpired for the purchase of one Love Bird.
December 5th- inquired and received information regarding the breed of bird I was interested in purchasing
December 9th- purchased bird and received PayPal confirmation and care guide/resources for bird
December 22nd- called and asked about date of arrival, as I didn’t receive one with purchase. Was told to email for that and was told that the certain bird I selected would not be ready for a few more weeks, but if I wanted to pick another color of bird, then they would ship him out on the following Monday after Christmas. Which I was completely fine with.
December 28th- I had not received any type of tracking information or an email about if he was shipped or not. So I reached out again, and they said there would be a delay and it would be shipped on Wednesday, the 30th.
December 30th- Received an email saying that he was on the way, but no tracking info.
December 31st- Received a phone call from Post Office saying they had the bird, but there was no email or phone call sent out that he arrived until a day later. He did arrive safely and happy until the early afternoon January 3rd.
January 3rd- he had been happy and well taken care of, and was beginning to get very close with us. From 12/31-1/3 all care came from the basics outlined in the care guidelines from Fly Babies as well as research from vets.
I checked on him in the morning to bond with him. I had to leave the house for 2 hours and came back to find him on the bottom of the cage dead.
When emailing about the sudden death we received a one lined email. “Hello Sydney, We are so sorry for your loss. Love birds are very fragile.”
Understandably, we knew this bird came with no guarantees or refunds. However, we believe it is due to the negligence and lack of communication of Fly Babies Aviary that our new friend lived such a short life.
As stated above there were many gaps between communication. Most of the communication was received AFTER reaching out for basic information.
Bird was ordered as a present for me for Christmas. They were very uncommunicative with shipping(you think that’d be a priority for a live bird and it being December). Bird got here and we did everything according to instructions as well as researched before acquiring the bird. He was very happy.. warming up to us very quickly. On day four, after uncovering his cage and changing water etc he was excited and happy (just like the night before). Come back 2.5 hours later after running out for somethings he was found dead on the bottom of his cage.
We are obviously heartbroken as this little guy became our best friend very quickly. We are disgusted after reading other people’s experience as well. We hope that owners will do something to correct this as we obviously did everything we could to make our friend happy.
