No apologies at all

In July of 2021 I ordered an inspection for a used vehicle at a Lexus dealership out of state in Ohio. I specifically noted when I ordered the inspection that I would not be interested in the car if there was ANY indication it was smoked in. Inspection was done and no mention of any smoking in vehicle. They did point out a bad sunroof seal that the dealer replaced. Purchased the car and had it shipped at a cost of $900.00
Vehicle arrived and inside smelled of cigarette smoke and it was obvious the cigarette lighter was used, and there was an actual burn hole in the carpet. I took pictures and sent them to Lemon Squad demanding a refund. Also notified the dealer because they too claimed it was a smoke free vehicle.
Lemon Squad refunded my money with no explanation or apology. I only discovered it when I happened to check my bank account a few weeks later. The dealership purchased the car back and paid to return it. At least they apologized.
Fast forward 8 months and Lemon Squad was recommended as the inspection service by a company I was purchasing an extended warrant from for another vehicle. I thought I’d give Lemon Squad another try. I went online and could not place an inspection request. I called and was told I was banned from using their services for a “violating their policy”..What??? Banned for asking for a refund for a sloppy inspection that caused me so much aggravation and headaches?
I told the warranty company of my experience with Lemon Squad and they said I could have my vehicle inspected by any local ASE mechanic and would credit me the inspection fee on my warrant purchase, which I did for half the price of what Lemon Squad wanted me to pay.
Lesson learned, go local if possible and if out of the area, any other inspection service other than Lemon SquadIn July of 2021 I ordered an inspection for a used vehicle at a Lexus dealership out of state in Ohio.
