Now, this is going to be uncomfortable for some…because I’m straying out of the comfort zone for prude people and going to talk about porn, specifically who owns it.

Let’s start with the basics, I’m a guy, I masturbate. Now that that is out of the way, I want to say that I usually use my imagination, or other times I got laid as inspiration for, well, you know, shaking hands with the president, however there are times when you just want to phase out and let someone else do the imagining for you (I’m talking about porn movies obviously). All this time, (since the age of reason) I’ve visited porn sites, never had I thought to dig deeper (unintentional pun) and learn something about who owns the network of production and distribution of porn worldwide. So I did a bit of googling, and 40 minutes later I am stunned.

They own almost everything . Don’t believe me? Here’s a list of all the sites under their ‘tutelage’ nabbed from wikipedia. So yeah, I’m guessing that one of your favourite porn sites (in case you have a favour for it) is on this list. So here’s how MindGeek describe themselves:

The most amusing part, since it’s a PRIVATELY owned company, which means that one man or a board of directors owns the corporation which in turn owns almost all the human sex on the internet, in MindGeek’s case one man who might actually be the biggest pimp that ever lived… Ladies and gentlemen, I present you

No…this guy has no photo of him online or if there is, I can’t find it for shit… this guy really knows how to hide himself and work from the shadows. What I could find about him is that he was an electrical engineer student at Concordia University from 2000-2004 and from 2005 to 2008 he used to work for Matrox Electronic Systems, after which, my guess is he sold his soul to the devil in order to control the networks of world-wide production and distribution of the human reproduction act.
